Coco Cortez is a radio queen with over 20 years of experience and a voice that’s been heard in cities from coast to coast. Born and raised in Chicago, she got her start in Houston at KQQK Hot 106.5, a Spanglish Top 40/Tejano station, and quickly made a name for herself with her bold style and natural connection to the Latino community. Her journey took her to some of the biggest stations in the country, including B96, WGCI, Z95, and 103.5 KISS FM in Chicago, plus stops in San Diego and back in Houston.
Known for being Loud, Brown, and Proud, Coco brings big personality and even bigger heart to everything she does. She’s interviewed major artists, launched stations, and made listeners feel like family along the way. Whether she was hyping up a crowd or spinning the tracks that defined a generation, Coco’s always brought the vibes—and a whole lot of fun. Oh—and she’s a Cubs fan who also reps the Serpientes, so don’t come for her unless you’re ready to talk baseball!
Now she’s living her dream in Phoenix at Mega 104.3 JAMZ a station she always said she’d work at if she ever came back to the Valley. Well, she’s back, and better than ever! Coco’s passion for music, culture, and community shines through every time she hits the mic, and we’re lucky to have her rocking the airwaves every weekend right here in the desert.
